About Us

Created by a mother and daughter team, Baby Bloom was established in July, 2005.

"I have two daughters of my own and an infant son" says founder Becky Ladner. "When my second daughter was born, she received many hand-me-downs from her big sister, including an infant car seat. We bought the car seat not knowing the gender of our first child, so it was generic. By the time my second daughter came along, I wanted it to have a more girlish pattern. I looked around until I found a pink and white Hawaiian fabric, and together my mom and I sewed a new cover."

"In the few short months since, I've received many compliments on it, as well as the repeated question, ‘where did you get that?' That's how Baby Bloom was born. I realized there had to be many more mothers out there like me who might want not just customized car seat covers, but a variety of baby accessories made to their liking in fun and trendy fabrics."

"My mother brings to this her creative expertise and love of the arts. She has been sewing as long as she can remember, and has a natural talent for designing, illustrating and painting. She's worked in the creative arts for years, including some time at a company that made high end dolls. As for me, I spent eight years in the surf apparel industry and can draw upon my business and marketing background. With our experience, knowledge and passion, we hope Baby Bloom can provide our clients and their babies with the everyday items they need in fashionable fabrics they will love."
